We Began From Humble Beginnings
During the gas crisis in 1974, the nation’s fuel stops were closing their doors as prices rose and supply dwindled. For George Warren and Gary Meszaros, they were far more concerned with preserving the automotive culture they’d come to love in these classic locations — and they also loved food! The first Quaker Steak & Lube appeared in 1974 in Sharon Pennsylvania and was instantly a mecca for muscle cars and a ‘cook your own steak’ concept. Housed inside of a then-closed gas station, the pair began turning the location into an automotive themed restaurant for food-lovers of all ages. The rest as they call it, is history.

In addition to a menu that goes on for days, The Lube is also home to award winning wings, as well as over 20 sauces to lather on! We proudly offer an array of refreshing drinks, appetizers, and entrees — and even when your tank hits full, will have you asking for more! In fact, we’ve got a number of brand new menu options to satisfy the stomachs of all guests alike!
We’re Seeing Rapid Growth
Our AUV in 2016 was $2.88 million, higher than many casual dining concepts. In addition to the big numbers, our average guest check has risen to $18.24!
